TTTC Ph.D Thesis Award

We are organizing a regional semi-final edition of the TTTC's E.J. McCluskey Best Doctoral Thesis Award in conjunction with the 15th Latin-American Test Workshop (LATW). The goal is to provide graduate students with an opportunity to disseminate and discuss their research with the international test community. Ph.D. students who graduated in 2013 or will be graduating in 2014 are invited to participate in this Thesis Award Contest.

The TTTC's E.J. McCluskey Best Doctoral Thesis Award's purpose is to promote the most impactful doctoral student work, to provide the students with the exposure to the community and the prospective employers as well as to support interaction between academia and industry in the field of test technology.

The Award winner is determined by a Doctoral Student Contest held in two stages: regional semi-finals and global finals. Semi-finals are held at the regional TTTC-sponsored technical meetings such as VTS, ETS, LATW, and ATS (called regional sites). Prospective candidates are invited to submit a summary of their work to one regional site. Qualified submissions are selected and their authors are invited to present their work at the regional site. A jury determines the winner of the semi-final. All winners of the semi-finals are invited to the finals, where a jury determines the global Award laureate.

LATW semi-final:

Ph.D. students who graduated in 2013 or will be graduating in 2014 are invited to submit a one page abstract of their thesis (maximum 750 words). A second page is allowed for references and/or figures only. Please submit a separate cover page with the student's name and affiliation, the title of the thesis, the expected date of graduation and an endorsement by the advisor (i.e. a signed statement that he/she supports the student's participation in the contest).

CEITEC Master Thesis Award

In conjunction with the 15th IEEE Latin-American Test Workshop (LATW2014) in Fortaleza, we are realizing, for the first time, the CEITEC Best Master Thesis Award. Students that graduated in 2013 or will be graduating in 2014 are invited to participate! The purpose of the CEITEC Best Master Thesis Award is to promote the student work and to provide the students with contact to the international test community, prospective employers as well as to support interaction between academia and industry in the field, with special attention to the Latin-American region. The Award's winner is elected by a contest held during the conference. Prospective candidates are invited to submit a summary (one or two pages long in IEEE format) or a poster (A2 vertical) of their work by email to the Contest Coordinator: Prof. Leticia Maria Bolzani Poehls. Qualified submissions are selected and their authors are invited to present their work during LATW2014. A jury combining members from academia and industry determines the winner.
